Market Development, Commercial Accounts, Emmet County Recycling

Lindsey Walker has been with Emmet County Recycling since 2007. A proud Michigan native, she is honored to work for what she calls the state’s best hub-and-spoke rural recycling program. She oversees the county’s commercial recycling program as well as its food scrap collection and composting program. At the state level, she is involved with the Michigan Recycling Coalition, the Michigan Organics Council and NextCycle Michigan.

Lindsey is also an elected official in her hometown of Petoskey, Michigan. First elected to the City Council in 2018, she is currently serving her third term. She holds a master’s degree in sustainable development and management from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont, and a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
