Steve Hastings has worked in the recycling industry for more than 40 years with Hudson Baylor, ReCommunity, Republic Services and ROVOX. His career started in the early ’80s in response to the New York State Returnable Container Act, providing collection and processing services for major beverage distributors and retailers in the northeastern U.S. Dual-stream processing began in the late ’80s when municipalities mandated residential recycling, and single-stream processing followed shortly after.

He has held leadership roles in all key areas and uses his broad knowledge in all aspects of mandatory, commercial and residential recycling.
