Dan Schoewe has been in the solid waste and recycling industry for more than 33 years.

He manages a site for Republic Services in northeast Ohio that processes nearly 78,000 tons per year, the majority being residential single-stream material.

The company did a retooling of that MRF in 2013 and went with a 35-ton-per-hour system from CP Group. Since then, the site has made numerous upgrades to screens and added optical sorters and robots.
